Ya\u015fam suyu kelimesinin k\u00f6keninin \u0130rlanda Galcesi&#8217; nden gelmesi, ilk dam\u0131t\u0131m evinin \u0130rlanda&#8217;da kurulmas\u0131 ve Macbeathad t\u0131p alimi ve dam\u0131t\u0131m\u0131 \u00e7ok iyi bilen ailenin, bir d\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn ile \u0130rlanda&#8217;dan Islay Adas\u0131&#8217;na gidi\u015fi ve bir \u00e7ok aile \u00fcyesinin Krallara dan\u0131\u015fmanl\u0131k yapmas\u0131 da ilk viskinin \u0130rlanda&#8217;da bulundu\u011funu destekler niteliktedir.<\/p>\r\n<p>Ya\u015fam suyu kelimesi y\u0131llar itibariyle evrim ge\u00e7irmi\u015ftir.1610 y\u0131l\u0131nda Usquebaugh, 1621 y\u0131l\u0131nda Usquebath ve 1715 y\u0131l\u0131nda ise; Usqueabae ad\u0131yla an\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\r\n<p>1800\u2019 l\u00fc y\u0131llar\u0131n ikinci yar\u0131s\u0131nda \u0130rlanda viskileri d\u00fcnya viski \u00fcretiminin merkeziydi. D\u00fcnya viskisinin yakla\u015f\u0131k % 70 inden fazlas\u0131 \u0130rlandal\u0131 Dam\u0131t\u0131m Evleri \u00fcretiyordu. O y\u0131llarda \u0130rlanda viskileri, \u0130sko\u00e7 viskileri geri b\u0131rakm\u0131\u015f ve d\u00fcnyan\u0131n en pop\u00fcler viskileri konumundayd\u0131.
